Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a PC that I'm planning to use for some pretty intensive tasks like gaming, game development, 3D modeling, and animation. I'd really love to hear your recommendations on which Linux distro to install on it. I'd prefer something Debian-based since that's what I'm most familiar with, but I'm open to suggestions!

If you're sticking with Debian, you can't go wrong with just plain Debian or Ubuntu. You might also consider Linux Mint LMDE since it’s directly based on Debian.
Honestly, just pick a popular distro that fits your preferred Desktop Environment. Once you get into Linux, everything runs pretty smoothly no matter which one you choose.
Have you checked out Zorin for a more visually appealing setup? Otherwise, Linux Mint is a great light option. Both are Debian-based.
