I'm curious about which AI tools are worth paying for nowadays. I've heard good things about Claude with its recent Opus 4 update, and I know GPT has some great features too, like memory, but I've noticed it can come off as quite flattering at times, which feels a bit off to me. I'm looking for advice on which tools are best for specific use cases, and if anyone thinks both could be worth subscribing to. What are your thoughts?

I personally use Claude, especially with the recent Opus 4 version—it’s top-notch! As for GPT, it's got a lot of features, but the flattery can be a bit much. Both are priced similarly, so you might want to try them side by side to see which fits your needs better! Claude shines in coding, while GPT is great for multiple tasks. Worth comparing for sure!
I think the fluffiness is there in those versions too, but I find them useful with the right prompts.
If your main thing is programming, Claude is definitely the way to go. But if you're into research and writing, both Gemini and ChatGPT work really well, particularly since Gemini includes 2TB of Google Drive storage!
What makes Claude a better option for programming compared to others?
It really depends on your budget and what you plan to use it for. If you're looking for quality coding help, Claude can't be beaten. For general use or writing tasks, I still lean on ChatGPT. If you can swing $40 a month, I'd suggest getting both Claude and ChatGPT for the versatility. I even wrote a bit about my tool preferences if you're interested!
I've been paying for Gemini right now because I prefer its feedback style over ChatGPT. I found GPT too focused on being overly positive, even with problematic documents, while Gemini actually points out the issues. I still use ChatGPT occasionally for free, but I'm really considering switching to Claude. Just worried about the context limitations they have right now.
How do you find Gemini's context handling compared to ChatGPT?
Do you feel the same way about GPT-4.5 or GPT-3? I've mainly used those on ChatGPT.
