Hey everyone, I just built my first custom PC after only having a prebuilt before this! Here's the rundown of my current setup:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D with a Phantom Spirit 120 SE air cooler
- **Motherboard:** ASUS B650-E TUF Gaming
- **RAM:** G.Skill Flare X5 series 32GB DDR5-6000
- **GPU:** Zotac NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060TI dual fan with 16GB GDDR7
- **Storage:** Samsung 990 Plus 1TB
- **Case:** Lian Li Lancool 207 with tempered glass and pre-installed cooling fans
- **PSU:** MAG A850GL 850 Watt 80 Plus
I have a 30-day return period, so I'd love to know if there's anything I should consider changing or possibly returning. I'm not super tech-savvy, so any advice would be great! I aimed for something that could last at least 6+ years. Thanks!

Honestly, it looks a bit off balance. You spent a lot on the non-essential parts while the GPU, which is critical for gaming, feels like a budget option. For future builds, maybe get a second opinion to avoid paying for components that don’t meet your needs.
The 5060 Ti is decent for 1080p but might struggle in the long run, especially if you want to game at higher resolutions. I’m not a fan of ASUS boards either, would have gone for a B850 instead for better performance. You do have a powerful CPU in the 7800X3D that should last a while, so consider upgrading your GPU in the future for a more robust setup.
That's what I heard too! The 7800X3D is a solid choice. Replacing the GPU down the road could indeed boost your performance significantly, especially since you’ve managed well with a 1070 all this time!
So, swapping the GPU later would still improve this build, right?
