Android Safety Scan Shows Mystery App – What Should I Do?

I ran a safety scan on my Android phone, just as I usually do, and a surprising app showed up. It was the default Android logo with the title "com.PuppetCombo.NunMassacre". The problem? I've never downloaded or even heard of that game! I know no one else has accessed my phone to install anything either. When I check my apps or file sections, I can't find anything related to that name, and my recent files look totally normal. This is kind of driving me nuts because I'm worried it might be a virus or something, especially since the scan detected something that doesn't appear to exist on my phone. Anyone know what's going on?

It sounds like you might have run into a glitch. Sometimes safety scans can show false positives for apps that are either uninstalled or left over from previous installations. Can you tell what tool you used to scan? Maybe it could help clear things up. If it says everything is ok afterward, that's a good sign! But it’s always healthy to stay alert.

I used the built-in Android protection scan, and it confirmed there are no issues afterwards.
