Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade from my RTX 2080 Ti (the Gigabyte blower model). I'm mainly looking for something better because the fan gets super loud—like 4000 RPMs—and my card hits around 80 degrees while gaming. I've already replaced the thermal pads and paste, but it hasn't helped much. I game at 1440p and my CPU is a Ryzen 7700. I was considering the RTX 5070, but I've heard some rumors that the 50 series might have issues with older games. What would you recommend as a good upgrade at a reasonable price? Should I go for the 70 series or maybe look at an AMD card?

Honestly, I wouldn't go for the 5060 as it isn't a significant upgrade from the 2080 Ti. Your best bet for a meaningful leap would be the 5070 Ti or even the RX 9070 XT. Just make sure to keep an eye on your budget!
It really depends on your budget, but if you're after a solid upgrade, I'd suggest either the RTX 5070 Ti or the AMD 9070 XT. The RTX 5070 Ti has been a great card for others, and you'll still get a decent price for your 2080 Ti! Just make sure you check if it'll fit in your case before purchasing.
If the fan noise is your main concern, you might want to look into aftermarket coolers for your card. I switched to an Arctic Accelero cooler on my 1070 a while back, and it really helped with noise! Since you mentioned you changed the thermal pads, I assume you're comfortable taking it apart.
There are some controversies regarding the 50 series and older games, especially with PhysX performance. Just a heads up, there are a few specific titles that might give you issues if you enable PhysX, but those are quite limited. You could also sideline those games or use an old Nvidia card as a PhysX processor if you're keen on playing them.
