When Can We Expect VEO 4? December Release Likely?

With VEO 2 hitting the market in January and VEO 3 just recently dropped in May, many of us are wondering if VEO 4 will make its debut in December. Or should we be looking at a possible May 2026 release? I've heard NVIDIA conducted an experiment a couple of months back that achieved impressive one-minute AI video consistency — could Google already be working on something similar? Could they also hold off on the VEO 4 release until their competitors catch up, or will they be eager to launch their more advanced version right away to maximize user engagement and assert their lead in the market?

Honestly, it feels like we're getting a little too greedy asking for these releases so fast! But yeah, the timeline does seem to suggest a December release. VEO 3 had some significant upgrades, so if they’re ready with VEO 4, they’ll probably drop it. Google won’t want to lose their edge over competitors, especially after NVIDIA's recent advancements in AI video consistency. It’s a game of keeping ahead in technology.

Speculating here, but I think a release in late 2025 or early 2026 is more likely. The improvements from models like VEO 3 were significant, so it might take some time to roll out an even better VEO 4. But who knows, if Google is on the ball, they may want to capitalize on their current lead right away.

That makes sense; a big leap in quality might take longer.

I think we can't really know for sure. Speculating on product timelines is common, but it’s tough to predict with these frontier labs. They might drop VEO 4 at any time if they're confident in it. If they have something compelling, I wouldn’t be surprised if they release it as soon as possible, unless their next big event is just around the corner.

Good point! They might just push it out the door when it’s ready, regardless of strategy.
