Help! Persistent Microstutters in Games—What Am I Missing?

Hey everyone, I'm dealing with annoying microstutters while playing games like FFXIV and Tarkov, and I'm at my wit's end trying to resolve it. I've tried a ton of troubleshooting steps in both BIOS and Windows, even swapping out components, but nothing seems to help. I've made previous Reddit posts hoping to find a fix, but the solutions were only temporary. Here are my PC specs: CPU is a Ryzen 7 9800X3D (which I've replaced with the same model), GPU is an RTX 5080 (I also tried a 4070 Ti), and I'm using an ASUS B650E-E motherboard. My other components include an NZXT Kraken 2024 cooler, a Corsair RX1000M PSU, G.Skill Trident Z Neo 64GB RAM, and an AORUS FO27Q3 360Hz OLED monitor. I've gone through many BIOS settings adjustments and uninstalled software like MSI Afterburner and NZXT CAM. LatencyMon shows occasional spikes in DPC latency, with culprits like Wdf01000.sys and nvlddmkm.sys showing up often. I'm not noticing major hardware issues, just these persistent little stutters that ruin the gameplay. I'm really hoping someone can spot something I've missed!

Have you tried doing a clean reinstall of your operating system? Sometimes that can make all the difference. Also, how do you launch these games—are you using Steam or another platform?

It might be worth checking your Samsung SSD. There's a known issue with the 990 Pro causing these micro-freezes, which can be an early sign of failure. Do a quick Google search on that model; I think you'll find some discussions around it. There's even a BuildAPC thread on it if you want specifics!

Thanks for the tip! I didn't know that could be an issue. I recently got the 990, and even replaced it with a fresh one from work. The current one is pretty new—only about three weeks old. Still getting the same issues, though.
