Hey folks! I've built a new PC not too long ago with a Ryzen 5 7600, RTX 4070 Super, and 32GB DDR5 RAM, and I'm running Windows 11. However, I've encountered this weird issue twice now: my computer suddenly becomes extremely slow without any warning. It doesn't completely freeze; instead, every action—like moving the mouse or clicking a button—has a significant delay, about five seconds! It's as if I'm only getting one frame every few seconds. The first incident happened right after starting up the PC and opening a browser, while the second occurred after about an hour of normal use. I checked Task Manager both times, and everything seemed to be functioning normally—CPU, GPU, RAM, and disk usage were all fine, along with temperatures. I'm puzzled if this is a Windows issue, driver-related, or something else. Has anyone faced something similar?

You might want to check the event logs for any system errors. Hardware issues typically cause a full freeze, while software or driver problems lead to those partial freezes you're experiencing. Good luck with troubleshooting!
Have you considered doing a system restore? It's worth a shot, especially if this started soon after a fresh Windows install. But if your build is brand new, I'm not sure how much it'll help since it hasn't been operational long.
Just a heads up: modifying BIOS settings or changing disk setups can result in data loss. Always double-check your backups before making any significant changes!
