I'm building a budget PC for my wife since her old one can't handle some of the games she's into. I've heard good things about the Intel B580 and plan to pair it with either an i5 13600 or a Ryzen 5 7600x, so the CPU shouldn't be an issue. I'd like her to be able to game at 1440p, though I don't think it's a huge priority for her. I'm curious about the performance of these two GPUs at 1080p and 1440p, especially with technologies like AMD FSR and frame generation. I know the 4060 is also an option, but I'd prefer more VRAM if I go with something other than the B580.

I have the B580 paired with a Ryzen 5 7600, and it runs every game I play on ultra settings at 1080p without any issues. Last night, I was hitting over 110 fps in Cyberpunk 2077. Some newer titles might lag at ultra, but overall performance is solid for most games.
I've had my 7600xt for a year, and honestly, it struggles with 1440p. In some games like RDR2, I have to drop settings to keep frames above 60, so I'd suggest the B580 instead unless you're stuck on 1080p.
I'd go with the B580 if you're looking for better performance. It handles games really well with high settings, especially at 1080p.
If you're matching it with a fast CPU, the Intel B580 is slightly better overall in performance. Just a heads up though; some people have criticized Intel's drivers, but usually, the performance is worth it.
I game at 1440p with a 3060ti, and while the 7600xt can handle some games, it really shines at 1080p. Just manage your expectations for 1440p.
