Hey everyone, I'm facing a frustrating issue after upgrading my PC with a new motherboard, storage, and RAM. My setup won't run for more than a few minutes before crashing, and I've already tried swapping out RAM sticks from my old rig, which were functioning fine before. I've also cleaned everything up and enabled XMP settings, but something is still making my PC crash unexpectedly. Here's my current build:
- CPU: Intel Core i7 9th Gen - Core i7-9700K Coffee Lake 8-Core 3.6 GHz (4.9 GHz Turbo)
- GPU: 8GB 4060 Ti
- Motherboard: MSI Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON (refurbished)
The RAM isn't the issue since it crashed with both sets. The CPU from my old build was transferred over, so I'm unsure if the problem lies with the motherboard or CPU. I can't check the temperatures because it shuts off too quickly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your refurbished motherboard could be the culprit. Since you've already swapped RAM and checked the installations, consider that there might be a bad memory slot or even some internal damage to the motherboard. If it’s an older board, that’s a real possibility. Just make sure to check for bent pins in the CPU socket too!
I feel for you, man! I experienced something similar before. If you've confirmed the CPU and RAM are okay, you might want to look at the PSU for stability issues. Sometimes, power supply units can fail to deliver enough power for all the components, especially during peak loads.
