Best Ways to Move Files Before a PC Reset

Hey everyone! I'm planning to reset my computer, but I've got a ton of clips saved—like, seriously a LOT. I really want to avoid paying someone to organize all my cool and wacky moments into a folder. Is there a way to temporarily store my files so I can redownload them later? I admit, I haven't done any research on this, so I'm hoping for some friendly advice. Thanks a bunch, and good morrow to you all!

It seems like the best route would be to use an external storage device to hold your files. They're relatively inexpensive and can hold a lot of data, which should work well for your clips.

If you're using the "Reset this PC" feature in Settings, you can select the option to "Keep my files." However, if you plan to wipe the drive entirely, you'll need to store your data elsewhere. You could share a folder on another computer if you have access to one. Otherwise, you might consider renting online storage or buying an external drive. It's usually the easiest option!

Yeah, I'm leaning towards getting an external drive. It'll be so much easier to access!

Consider using robocopy! It's a handy tool for moving files to an external drive quickly.
