Hey everyone! I'm new to building PCs and I've just put together my first build using parts I found at MicroCenter. Here's what I've got:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 9700X Granite Ridge AM5 3.80GHz 8-Core (Heatsink Not Included)
- **Motherboard:** Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX V2 AMD AM5 ATX
- **RAM:** G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6000
- **GPU:** Gigabyte AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming 16GB GDDR6
- **M.2 SSD:** Inland TN470 2TB NVMe M.2 2280
- **Case:** Lian Li Lancool 207 Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower
- **Power Supply:** Corsair RM1000e 1000 Watt 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular
- **Cooling:** Corsair NAUTILUS 360 RS ARGB All-in-One Liquid Cooling
I spent around $1600 putting this together. Are there any changes or upgrades you think I should consider?

When you mentioned the $1600, was that with the bundle included? Just curious! Also, the CPUs you picked like the 9700X are a bit overkill for gaming. You might get better value with something like the 9600X or even a 7800X3D if you can find a bundle with those.
They just don't offer much bang for the buck for gaming, especially with newer options out there!
Your build looks solid, especially the CPU/RAM/Motherboard bundle from MicroCenter! But honestly, that 1000W power supply seems like overkill for your setup. A good 850W unit should suffice and save you some cash. Also, the AIO cooler you picked is a bit pricey. Have you checked out Thermalright? They offer good coolers for less.
Thanks for the tip!
Yeah, those bundles are nice, but I've noticed prices creeping up too. They might just be a way to get people into the store.
I’m 16 and just starting to get into gaming builds. Do you think this setup is good for gaming, or do I need to tweak anything?
Honestly, it seems decent for a first build! Just make sure to keep learning as you go!
Yep, that's with the bundle. I'll definitely look for alternatives! Why do you think those CPUs are a waste though?
