I'm really close to finishing up with my new computer purchase, which comes with Windows 11 already installed. I've heard that it's usually a good idea to reinstall the operating system, but I have no idea how to do that. Is it really necessary to reinstall it? If so, how complicated and expensive is the process, and what's the best way to go about it? I'd appreciate any advice!

Most people only reinstall the OS if they want to get rid of all the bloatware that often comes with new PCs. If you don't mind that stuff, you probably don’t need to bother with a reinstall. But if you decide to go for a clean install, the USB method is the way to go. You can find a guide from Microsoft that details how to create installation media. Just let me know if you have any more questions!

I'm considering reinstalling because the computer company has had security issues before. Do you think it's necessary?
