Hey everyone! I'm running into a problem where my PC shuts down during intense gaming sessions, but it handles stress tests perfectly fine. I read that using two separate cables for the GPU instead of a daisy chain could solve this issue. Unfortunately, I currently only have two daisy-chain cables available. So, my question is: Can I plug in two separate daisy-chain cables into the GPU while leaving the extra connectors unused? I know it might not look great, but if it works, I'll definitely invest in proper individual cables. I'm also wondering if leaving any connectors hanging poses any functional or electrical risk. Thanks for any insights you can provide!

That's actually the standard approach. Surprised your power supply or GPU manuals didn’t emphasize using individual cables when possible.
Yes, you can definitely leave them hanging; it's perfectly safe to do so.
You're good to go! I do the same with my Quadro RTX A4000, which only needs one 6-pin connector. I just leave the extra connectors dangling from a splitter and it's been fine.
I bought the power supply used and had no issues for months until I installed a new game. It seems the PSU has only one PCI-E power outlet. Is it a bad idea to use another slot for a power cable?
