Hey everyone! I recently had my Asrock Challenger OC 6750 XT stop working and luckily got a Phantom 7800 XT back from RMA. Now I'm using a Deepcool PK650D PSU, and I'm a bit worried about whether 650W will be enough to support this powerful card. I mainly play demanding AAA games like Wukong and FF7 Rebirth, which are pretty GPU-intensive. Here are my other specs: Intel i5-12400F, Deepcool AG400 air cooler, Corsair Vengeance 16GB (1x16GB) at 3200 MHz, WD SN770 NVMe 1TB, and an Asus Prime H610M-E D4. I'd prefer not to upgrade my PSU unless absolutely necessary. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Just a heads up, if you're running 4K ultra settings, you might hit some limits in power draw, as I discovered. My display started blacking out occasionally when I pushed it too hard. Just something to keep in mind!
Many people successfully run setups with the 7800 XT on a 650W PSU, so you should be fine. Just keep an eye on your system's power draw, especially when gaming.
A 650W PSU should work fine if it's a reputable brand. I use a Corsair 600W with mine, and it runs well, though that's pushing it a bit. 650W gives you a little more headroom, especially if you underclock a little.
Thanks for the reassurance! I’ll definitely consider underclocking if needed.
Absolutely! I was running a Ryzen 7 5800X with an RX 7800 XT and 32GB of RAM on a 650W PSU, and it handled everything great. My gaming power draw was around 400W at peak. Based on the specs, your PSU should handle it since it can deliver 54A on the 12V rail, which is what's recommended for the 7800 XT. Do keep an eye on the power draw at high settings though!
Good to know! I’ll be careful with the settings, thanks!
