Help! Can’t Reinstall Social Media Apps on My Android

Hey everyone! I'm having an issue where social media apps like WhatsApp, YouTube, and Instagram are disabled on my Samsung Android phone. Whenever I try to reinstall them, I get this error message: "Security policy prevents installation of this application." I've already removed Windows authentication from my company thinking it might be the cause, and I've cleared the cache and data for both the Play Store and Play Services. While I can install other apps without a problem, these specific ones seem to be restricted. I even created a new account to test it out, but I still can't get them back. I'm really desperate here, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Another possibility is that your phone's settings could be pushing these restrictions. If you go to your Settings > Accounts, check if there's any work profile set up that might be causing this issue. Sometimes, just having a work account linked can lead to restrictions on app installations.

Good point! I forgot about the work profile setting. Might be worth checking that out to see if anything's off there.

It sounds like your device might be under some sort of management, especially if it was recently connected to your work's systems. Have you checked if your phone is registered with your employer's mobile device management (MDM)? If so, it could be restricting certain apps from being installed. If that's the case, you might need to un-enroll your device or talk to your IT department again.

Yeah, I did check and found out it's my personal phone. I even called IT and they assured me they haven't set anything on my device, so I'm confused!
