A few days ago, I had an issue with my HP Laptop 15-bs016nx after a BIOS update. The update completed successfully, but my laptop stopped working when it rebooted. I reached out to HP Support, but they didn't provide much help; they ultimately told me the motherboard has failed, which I'm not entirely convinced is true. I'm curious if there's a way to flash an older version of the BIOS onto the motherboard, or if it really is dead. Any advice would be appreciated!

You could definitely try flashing an older BIOS version! A corrupted BIOS can make your computer act dead, but sometimes a fresh flash can revive it. It's worth a shot, especially if you're seeing the power light turn on but nothing else happens.
That's what I'm hoping for! Right now, I just get the power light, but nothing else. I've tried recovering the BIOS via USB and even a keyboard combo but no luck. If flashing fails, I might have to face the fact that it’s bricked.
