Why Can’t ChatGPT Access Reddit for Research?

I’ve noticed similar issues! It gives me privacy-related error messages too. It feels kind of limiting when you’re trying to get to the really good information there.

If you wanted to have ChatGPT explain some things, I’ve tried taking screenshots of Reddit conversations and asking it about those. But for extensive research, that could kind of become a chore, haha!

Yeah, it’s a bummer! ChatGPT can’t access anything behind Reddit’s login page, so you’ll have to browse those posts yourself. It definitely seems to be a privacy issue that they’ve put in place.
