Will My 650W PSU Support Upgrading to a Ryzen 7 and RTX 5060 Ti?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC and I have a few specific components in mind. Currently, I have a Ryzen 5 3600, a GTX 1660 Ti, and a Corsair CX 650W Bronze PSU. I'm considering upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D and pairing it with an RTX 5060 Ti. My big question is whether my current PSU can handle these upgrades, especially since I'm trying to stick to a budget. What do you think?

You should be all set! I have a CX 650M running a 4070 with a 3600X, and I've never had any wattage issues. Your setup sounds compatible!

Yeah, you're good to go! The RTX 5060 Ti isn't very power-hungry at all, and neither is the 5700X3D. Just thinking about the CPU and GPU combined, that should only draw around 300 watts, so you'll have plenty of headroom for the rest of your components.

Definitely! I have a 3060 Ti (which I've undervolted) with a 5600X running on a 650W PSU, and the 5060 Ti is even more power-friendly than that.

Honestly, I think a better GPU would be a more significant upgrade! Your 3600 can easily support something like a 2080 or a 6800 XT, which might give you a better performance boost overall.

If you don't go wild with RGB lighting, your PSU should have enough power for those upgrades.

For sure, it should be no problem at all!
