I'm currently using a 16 GB RAM module and I'm thinking about upgrading to 32 GB by adding another 16 GB module. I'm mostly into gaming and for schoolwork, I usually have multiple Chrome tabs and other programs running simultaneously. My current setup includes a Ryzen 4600G, RX 6650 XT, a 500 GB SSD, and a 1 TB HDD. If I go for the upgrade, is it okay to use a different brand or model for the new RAM as long as it matches the speed and CAS latency of my current module?

Absolutely, you should go for the upgrade, especially before DDR4 prices potentially rise. Just make sure to check the specs of your current RAM. If it's under 3000 MHz, it might be worth selling it and getting a matched set of 2x16GB sticks, ideally 3600 MHz CL16 or at least 3200 MHz. That would really boost your performance!
My current stick is actually an XPG D60G, 3600 MHz CL16. I was considering a D35G because it's cheaper here. Do you think they will work together?
