I have a laptop with limited storage (only 237GB), and I'm currently using about 150GB for Windows 11. I'm considering setting up a dual boot to transition from Windows to Ubuntu. My main question is whether 65GB is a reasonable amount of space for Ubuntu, given I'd like to use it for programming and gaming, particularly Minecraft and some indie titles.

There are definitely Linux distributions that can run smoothly on 64GB of disk space. However, the bigger concern isn't really the OS itself, but the games you plan to play. Many games can take up a lot of space—often over 50GB. If you need Windows for gaming, you might want to think twice about dual booting.
If you think 65GB will be enough for your needs, then go for it! Just make sure to keep your installations light.
Yeah, if you're planning to use it primarily for programming and maybe some lighter games, 65GB should work fine!
If Windows is going to remain your primary OS, you might want to consider running an external live USB instead. This way, you can try out Linux without affecting your setup too much.
I manage to play a few Windows games on Linux while keeping Windows for a few exclusive titles. I actually prefer Linux for some games since I get better performance without those pesky background processes hanging around.
