Which Course Should I Choose for a Job After Graduation?

I'm starting my freshman year and I'm feeling a bit lost about which course to choose that could impact my career path. I've narrowed it down to three options:

1. BSBA in Marketing Management (BSBA-MM): I've heard this field is quite saturated in the Philippines, and I'm worried that it might be tough to get into since I'm not great with math.

2. BSBA in Human Resource Management (BSBA-HRM): I have a strong interest in HR but I'm unsure about how the industry works and finding real-life experiences or reviews of this program has been tough.

3. BS in Information Technology (BSIT): People say this program might lead to easier job prospects, but I lack any basic IT skills or coding knowledge, making it my last resort.

I feel confident in my management and organization abilities, and I enjoy tasks like paperwork and attending meetings. My goal is to secure a stable job, ideally with a good salary, right after graduation. Is that unrealistic? What should I prioritize in my course selection?

If you're leaning towards HR, just know that it can be a rewarding field but also a tough one to enter, especially if you're uncertain about the workings of the industry. Some people love it, while others find it challenging, so maybe try to connect with some HR professionals or look for internships to get a feel for it. Don't be disheartened if you find it tough to get information; sometimes, first-hand experiences are the best way to learn!

I get your concerns about how the courses might not be familiar to everyone. But what's important is finding something that excites you and offers job opportunities post-graduation. It's great that you're asking about this early! I’d suggest reaching out to professionals in your desired fields for insights too. And don't worry too much about what others think; focus on your interests and strengths when making the decision!
