Best Nvidia GPU Around $1000 for Gaming

I'm looking for recommendations on a good Nvidia GPU that falls around the $1,000 mark. I've had some issues with my RX 6700, particularly with drivers affecting mods, so I'm leaning towards Nvidia. The games I usually play include Skyrim, the Fallout series, Borderlands 2, Need for Speed Unbound, Minecraft, the Oblivion Remaster, and GTA V, all of which can be demanding on a GPU. Also, if it's feasible, I'd like to know if I can use my current RX 6700 alongside a new GPU.

For context, my current setup includes a Ryzen 7700x CPU, 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, and a PSU that's at least 1000W—probably around 1200W. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

You can find new 5070 Tis for around $825-$830 at Newegg. Considering that, it might be worth getting a new one rather than a used 4080 Super since their performance is relatively close.

Sounds good! I'll check that out.

Definitely look into the RTX 5070 Ti. It seems to give great performance for the price and should be good for your game library.

Is the 32-bit error fixed now?

Could you share more about the driver issues you're facing? It's often something else at play when using mods, since GPU drivers typically aren't the main culprit. I'd love to know more about your experience!

For instance, with Fallout NV, I've encountered a bug where the character's hair is missing, which I resolved by either downgrading the drivers or using a specific mod, though results vary. In the 2006 Oblivion version, the screen would flicker between brightness levels when moving around, but not while standing still.

If you plan on playing older titles that still use the classic 32-bit PhysX engine, I’d recommend the 4080 Super if you can snag one at retail. It's a solid choice!

I was considering that too, but is a 3090 still a better option? Seems like their performance is comparable.

You can easily find a used RTX 4080 Super for around $800-$1000 on platforms like Hardwareswap. If you're open to new, a 5070 Ti typically costs between $750-$850, especially if you can catch a good stock at a lower price. Keep an eye on restocks from Best Buy and the NVIDIA website for the 5080 Founders Edition priced at $1,000!

Awesome, thanks for the tip!
