Hey everyone, I'm planning to upgrade my PC to an Intel Core i7 14700K and need your advice. Currently, I'm using a 240mm Corsair H100i Elite Capelix for cooling. My case is a Corsair 4000D, which has a lot of small holes in the front, and I don't think I can fit a larger radiator there. If I need to upgrade my cooler, what should I consider? Also, just to clarify, I'm sticking with my existing motherboard because it was a bit pricey, so switching to AM5 isn't really an option for me. Any thoughts?

It should do fine. Corsair coolers aren't the best out there, but they're decent enough for an i7. Just keep an eye on the thermals.
I’m using a Deep Cool Assassin IV air cooler with my setup, and it’s holding up fine even during stress tests like Prime95. Just keep in mind it does run hot, so expect temperatures above 70°C.
Are you primarily gaming? Undervolting is definitely step one, and if that's not sufficient, consider power limiting as well. I found some resources comparing CPU performance at different power limits; it might help you decide.
It likely won't run at full power or 100% utilization with a 240mm AIO. If you undervolt the CPU, it should be okay. By the way, what are the other components in your build?
Honestly, I’d say no. A 240mm cooler just isn’t going to cut it for the 14700K at full load.
240mm AIOs generally perform worse than most good air coolers. They might handle gaming loads, but for productivity tasks, I'd be cautious. The 14700K tends to run hot, even for gaming.
