Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out if it's okay to use just two of the 2x8 PCIe cables from my MSI MAG A850GL PSU to power my graphics card. The card, an XFX Mercury 9070XT OC, requires three 8-pin connections, and I'm using one cable without the split and another with the split to connect to the GPU. Is this configuration safe? I've done some gaming tests, and it seems to be working fine, but I want to make sure I'm not risking anything.

This setup is pretty far from ideal, but you can get by with it. Just keep in mind that a solid plan for your PSU in relation to your GPU is always a smart move. Next time consider a PSU that matches the connectors you need for your hardware.
You can use your two cables to fill all three connections, including that one dangling connector. It’s not perfect, but it should work just fine if that's your setup.
I just ran a 20-minute stress test on 3DMark and hit 340W usage with 100% stability while staying around 56 degrees Celsius. Is this okay?
While it can function this way, it's really better to use three separate cables for optimal safety and performance. Make sure your PSU meets the needs of your GPU so you don't have to use these workaround solutions.
Ran that stress test and got 340W at 100% usage. Is that a good result?
