I snagged both the 5070 and the 5070TI at MSRP, with the 5070 priced at $549.99 from Newegg (Gigabyte Windforce SFF) and the 5070TI at $749.99 from Best Buy (PNY). I'm planning to game at 1440P, and I've read that the performance gap at this resolution isn't as wide as it is at 4K, where the 5070TI is about 30% better. At 1440P, it's generally around a 22% difference. I'm wondering if that price difference of $200 is worth it for the 5070TI. What do you think?

Absolutely, the 5070TI is worth the extra cash, especially if you're not one to upgrade every few years. It comes with 16GB of VRAM compared to the 12GB on the 5070, which will definitely give you better longevity.
Of course, I’d go for the 5070TI. Some games are already using more than 12GB of VRAM at 1440P, so it's a solid investment.
Yeah, it’s just a better overall card. You’ll get improved performance and more future-proofing, especially for 1440P gaming.
I wouldn't pay over $350 for a 12GB GPU anymore. If you're focused on 1440P high/ultra gaming, you'll want 16GB. Just look at future titles; they’ll likely need that extra VRAM.
The performance difference is significant. The 5070TI is not just a slight bump; it’s close to the 5080 in terms of performance, and you can overclock it to get even more out of it!
That's really good to know! I didn’t realize it was that close to the 5080.
It really depends on your gaming style. If you want the highest settings and the latest games, go for the 5070TI. But if you don’t mind lowering some settings, the 5070 could save you some cash for other gear you might want.
Definitely something to consider. It seems like 12GB might become outdated quicker than we think.
