Hey everyone! I'm at a crossroads in my development journey and could use some advice. I've got a project going with Java Swing, and I'm considering whether to rebuild it using Spring Boot, especially since I already have some experience with Java. However, I've also been diving into The Odin Project and noticed that they recommend NodeJS for backend development in their JavaScript path. Given that I've just graduated and am looking to break into the job market, I want to learn something that will really boost my employability. What do you all think would be the better choice? Thanks!

Personally, I'd lean towards Java. It often leads to opportunities in bigger companies, which could be beneficial for your career.
Definitely consider Spring Boot, especially for its security features. If that's important to you, it might sway your decision.
If you prefer working in larger teams, Spring Boot could be the way to go. On the flip side, if you like flying solo, NodeJS might suit you better.
It's a good idea to look at your local job market and see what companies are looking for. That can really guide your decision on which technology to focus on.
I think Spring Boot is a strong choice! It's tailored for enterprise applications and can give you an edge if you're aiming for bigger companies.
