I'm looking to build a budget gaming setup and considering pairing the Ryzen 5500 with an RTX 3050. I'm also planning to spend some of my budget on a phone. Can anyone share insights on how many FPS I can expect from this combination, especially at low settings?

Just go with an older option like the 8600G if you're on a tight budget. It might serve you better for what you need.
If that's your budget, then it might work for you, but I hope you're looking at the 8GB version of the RTX 3050. The good news is you could always upgrade your GPU later if needed!
Honestly, the RTX 3050 is pretty underwhelming. A lot of people think it's a bad choice, especially given its age. The Ryzen 5500 isn’t really a powerhouse for gaming either. If you’re set on this combo, you might just get by, but don't expect stellar performance.
The 3050 is really not great. Instead, why not look at the RX 6600? It should be around the same price and offers much better performance. Also, think about stretching your budget to get the Ryzen 5600. It comes out ahead of the 5500 by a lot—definitely worth it in the long run! The Ryzen 5600 paired with an RX 6600 is a solid choice for budget builds.
That's what I've heard too. Should I consider looking for something else?
