I need some serious help here. I just connected my M.2 SSD using an external enclosure via USB, but it's not showing up in "This PC." When I checked Disk Management, it says the drive is "Not Initialized."
This SSD has everything important on it—file templates, vital office documents, and tons of personal files. I'm really worried about losing anything, and I definitely don't want to format it. Is there any way I can access or recover the data without formatting the drive? I'd really appreciate any guidance!

Don't even think about initializing or formatting it! First, try connecting the SSD directly to a compatible internal M.2 slot. Your USB adapter might be faulty, or there could be a communication issue with your computer.
If that doesn’t work, you might consider using data recovery software. Just remember to disable TRIM first—it could save your data. If the drive is crucial, and if you're unsure, it may be best to seek professional data recovery services instead of risking it yourself.

You need to initialize it to assign a drive letter; however, doing so might lead to formatting, which you want to avoid. Don’t proceed with that unless it's absolutely necessary. If the drive already has partitions, initializing it again could overwrite vital data, especially if TRIM is enabled.
