I'm looking to build a small form factor home theater PC (HTPC) and want to know if the Radeon 9060XT with 16GB of VRAM can handle gaming at 4K 60fps on my TV. My specs are a Ryzen 5 9600x, 32GB of 6000 CL30 RAM, and a 750W PSU. I plan to play on medium settings, and while I'd love 4K gaming, I'm open to suggestions as long as the GPU is under $500, compact enough to fit in my system (less than 325mm long, 130mm high, and 55mm thick, 3 slots max).

Ultimately, it's going to depend on the specific games you're planning to play. Things get tricky with demanding titles at 4K. If you don't want to compromise much on visual quality, aiming for QHD+ might be a smart choice for those 60fps targets. Just my thoughts from experience!

I hear you! It’s hard to say without knowing all the games. I'd hate to recommend a card if it won’t handle what you love to play.

Totally! And, don't forget that text clarity can be a problem at 4K depending on the game; QHD+ could alleviate that.

Honestly, you might get some old games running well with the 9060XT, but newer titles might struggle unless you really dial down the graphics settings. For better performance at 4K, consider aiming for the Radeon 9070XT; it performs better and can hit 60fps at medium settings, especially with FSR.

Yeah, I’ve heard that too. If you can swing it, a used RTX 3080 might get you closer to that 4K goal since it does well with DLSS.

There’s also a 7800XT out there which is decent at 4K and might fit your budget if you find a good deal.

If you're sticking to your price range, the 7800XT could be your best bet for 4K performance without blowing the budget. Just keep in mind the prices are constantly changing, and good luck on your search!

For sure, and don’t forget to look into used options as well; you might find something solid there!

Right?! Just keep an eye on sales – it can make a real difference in what you can get.

Most modern games will struggle to maintain 60fps at 4K with the 9060XT. If you look at benchmarking tests, many titles drop well below that threshold unless settings are really reduced. As an alternative, you might consider playing at 3200 x 1800 for a better experience without losing too much visual quality.

Exactly! When I adjusted to QHD+, I got smoother gameplay without sacrificing too much quality.

Totally agree with that! Game performance really drops at 4K, especially with demanding titles.
