I recently deleted my ChatGPT account and now want to reopen it. However, I can't seem to use the gaming email I had before. I'm considering using my personal email, which has my real name, but I'm feeling a bit uneasy about that. Should I go ahead and use my real email, or is it better to just create a temporary (burner) email for this? Am I being overly cautious here?

It's totally okay to be cautious about using your real email. If you're worried about privacy and how your information might be used, creating a burner email could be a good option. It adds an extra layer of security and keeps your main email separate from services like ChatGPT. It really depends on how comfortable you feel!
You're not being paranoid! If you're not comfortable using your real name, there's no harm in using a burner email. Lots of people do it for extra privacy online. Just remember to keep track of it in case you need to recover your account later.
Exactly! Better safe than sorry, right?
Yeah, I suppose I just want to be careful. I deal with sensitive information at work, so maybe I'm overthinking it.
