I'm considering whether to buy an i5 13600K for $186 for gaming and my programming work in 2025. Right now, I have an i5 10400F with an RTX 3060 Ti and 32GB of DDR4 RAM at 3600MHz. My current setup performs decently, but I do experience significant FPS drops in demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 and The Last of Us, especially in high-density areas with lots of NPCs. I've been looking for upgrades, saw some interesting offers like the i5 14400F for $120, but that turned out to be a scam. Then I found an i5 12600K for about $140 and an i7 12700K for around $180, but the i5 13600K at $186 seems to be the best deal. Since I'm in Latin America, prices are a bit of a struggle here, and Ryzen processors are higher priced on Amazon, so I'm limited. Also, I hope this CPU will be suitable for my studies in systems engineering and for occasionally streaming my gaming sessions. Thanks for any advice!

The 13600K is still an excellent choice! You'll notice a real difference, especially after tweaking a few BIOS settings like turning off hyperthreading for smoother gaming performance. Just remember to pair it with a Z790 motherboard to get the best out of it.
If the i5 13600K fits your budget, I say go for it! It's a powerful CPU and will definitely boost your gaming experience. Just make sure you have a good cooler because these 13th gen chips can run hot.
