I'm assembling my first PC build with a budget of $1000, and I'd love some feedback! Here are my main concerns:
- Is my power supply (PSU) and cooler safe and sufficient?
- Where can I cut costs without compromising performance?
- I'm opting for an AM5 setup for future-proofing, especially when it comes to upgrading my GPU to avoid bottlenecks.
- I'm torn between the 9060 XT 16GB and the 5060 Ti 16GB for my graphics card.

Here's a breakdown of my parts:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X – $197.59
- Cooler: ID-COOLING SE-214-XT ARGB – $16.19
- Motherboard: ASRock B650M PG Lightning Wifi – $119.99
- RAM: Patriot Viper Venom 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 – $79.99
- SSD: Leven JPS600 2TB PCIe 3.0 – $89.99
- GPU: Gigabyte RTX 5060 Ti 16GB – $429.99
- Case: Montech AIR 903 BASE – $65.00
- PSU: ADATA XPG Core Reactor II VE 650W Gold – $79.98

Total: $1078.72 (via PCPartPicker)

1. The 9600X has a TDP of only 65 watts, so your cooler should definitely be adequate.
2. I recommend upgrading to a Gen 4 NVMe SSD instead of a Gen 3 one—check out the Patriot Viper VP4300 for $105. It has better read/write speeds and will be worth it in the long run. Other budget-friendly options like the MP44L and UD90 are also solid choices.
3. Between the graphics cards, I'd lean towards the 9060 XT 16GB since it's cheaper and performs similarly to the 5060 Ti. But really, both can work well depending on what you need!

Just a heads up, there will always be some bottlenecking no matter what hardware arrangement you go with. It's normal, especially with a mixed build like yours. Just make sure the parts complement each other well!

Regarding SSDs, I wouldn't worry too much about getting one without DRAM as long as you choose a reliable option. Just look for good performance reviews!
