I'm trying to make a decision between two CPUs. There's a sale on the Ryzen 5 3600 for $49, while the Ryzen 5 5500 is priced at $57 without any discounts. I'm planning to pair whichever I buy with an RTX 3060 12GB and an NVMe drive that only works with the Ryzen 5 3600. I mostly play games like Zenless Zone Zero, Fortnite, and Minecraft, so I don't play a lot of the latest AAA titles. What do you think I should go for?

I'd go with the Ryzen 5 5500. It has a little bit better architecture and performance for the price. Plus, it should pair nicely with your RTX 3060 for the games you want to play.
Honestly, both CPUs perform similarly, so I'd suggest getting whichever one is cheaper right now. Since the Ryzen 5 3600 is $7 less, it seems like a good deal if it meets your needs.
The 3600 is a solid choice, especially since it works with your NVMe drive. If that compatibility is crucial, then the 3600 might be your best bet. Get the cheaper one!
