Hey everyone, I'm in the process of building a new PC and I wanted to see if anyone has experienced issues with the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X. I've set everything up with the components listed in my PCPartPicker link. When I power on my system, it reaches the American Megatrends screen but I can't get into the BIOS. I've swapped the RAM, GPU, and PSU with parts from an older build, but still no luck. The motherboard came with BIOS version 3607, and I've tried both upgrading to 3167 and downgrading to 2423. This is actually the second motherboard I've tested; the first one worked with an AMD 2600 and I could access the BIOS. Should I assume that the CPU is dead, or could this be a power supply issue instead? Appreciate any insights!

It sounds like your motherboard may need a BIOS update for the Ryzen 5000 series CPUs, but that can be tricky if the current CPU isn’t supported. Did you check if the BIOS version you’ve installed is compatible with the 5700X? Sometimes a BIOS flashback can help, but it depends on whether your board supports it.
I did use BIOS flashback on the new board to update it, which shouldn't need the CPU. I’ve been checking the compatibility lists, and it seems like any BIOS after version 2423 should work with my CPU. The previous board had issues with the 5700X even after an upgrade.
