Hey everyone! I'm looking for some guidance on building a PC that can run Fortnite at over 240 FPS in competitive settings at 1080p. My maximum budget is $1000, but I really want to keep it between $700 and $800 if possible. Just so you know, I'm not very knowledgeable about PCs, so I'm hoping this isn't too difficult to achieve! Thanks for your advice!

Building a PC that meets your needs is definitely doable within your budget! Just to clarify, does your budget also cover peripherals like the monitor, mouse, and keyboard?
Here’s a potential build you can check out on PCPartPicker:
- **CPU:** Intel Core i5-14400F 10-Core
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
- **Motherboard:** Gigabyte B760 GAMING X AX
- **Memory:** TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32 GB DDR5-6000
- **Storage:** Silicon Power UD90 2 TB NVMe SSD
- **Video Card:** ASRock Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB
- **Case:** Aerocool Prism V2 RGB ATX
- **Power Supply:** SAMA GT 750 W 80+ Gold
**Total:** Approximately $1037.78 (before discounts). It’s slightly over your budget, but it offers great performance!
I think I’ll go with this build. Appreciate the help!
That looks like a beast of a build! It has more storage and VRAM than my setup. Just a heads up, I’m not sure about the SAMA PSU.
Thanks for the suggestions! Can we tweak it to get it closer to $700-$800? I'm really focused on just performance, no need for aesthetics.
Nope, I already have all my peripherals!
