Hey everyone! I have a quick question about updating Windows 10/11 on a machine that's completely offline. I don't have access to a WSUS server, so I'm wondering what the best method is to get all the necessary updates installed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You can also scan for updates offline using Windows Update functionality. It won’t actually install them, but it will show you what updates you need from the catalog. Here’s a link to a guide on how to do that: [official Microsoft guide](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/wua_sdk/using-wua-to-scan-for-updates-offline?tabs=powershell). I’d recommend looking for rollups and also keep in mind the order of updates since there are service stack updates and other dependencies that might come into play.
If your computer is entirely offline and still working fine, it might not need frequent updates anyway. But, if you want to update it, check out the Microsoft Update Catalog. You can manually download updates from there. The essential one to look for is the monthly cumulative update to keep your system secure.
I’ve heard about the catalog too, but my system hasn’t been updated in months. How can I make sure I get all the critical updates installed?
