Our new IT department head is unhappy with our current backup solution, VEEAM, because it doesn't seem to include backups for Microsoft Teams and Planner. I'm searching for other reliable backup solutions. I've looked into Keepit, but it appears to be quite similar to VEEAM without significant improvements. Are there any other options we should consider?

If you haven’t looked into it yet, HYCU offers a free trial and could be worth testing out to see if it meets your needs.
Better is subjective, but some other leading solutions in the industry include Cohesity, Commvault, and Rubrik. It really depends on your specific needs and budget.
Actually, VEEAM can back up Teams and Planner, but you need the right license for that functionality. Make sure to verify your licensing options first before switching providers.
Rubrik seems to be a common mention here. I've had mixed feelings about it; while it's decent, I believe there are some solutions that outperform it in specific areas. For instance, I've used AvePoint, which handles Teams and Planner backups well, but we plan to switch to Keepit for some other reasons.
If you're considering SaaS options, I highly recommend Rubrik. We switched from VEEAM and found it to be less expensive when factoring in overall costs. It's performed really well for us.
Datto is a solid choice if you're looking for an alternative to VEEAM. Many people have had good experiences with it. Might be worth checking out!
Thanks for the tip! I’ll need to see what our current license covers.
