Issues Connecting to Wi-Fi After Windows Update

I recently installed a Windows update that took quite a long time. When I restarted my laptop, it could only detect Wi-Fi extenders and not any actual Wi-Fi networks in my area. I attempted uninstalling the update, but that hasn't resolved the issue. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can fix this?

First off, can you clarify if your Wi-Fi adapter is able to see any wireless networks at all except for the extenders? If you're just having trouble connecting to those, you might want to forget the saved networks in your settings and try connecting again—this prompts you to enter the password again.

However, if your adapter isn’t detecting any networks except for the extenders, it could be a settings issue. Your Wi-Fi adapter might be set to only one band (either 2.4GHz or 5GHz), causing you to miss out on others. You might need to update those settings.

That makes sense! I was also thinking about checking my adapter settings after running into a similar issue. Sometimes you just need to switch things up to find all available networks.
