Help! My iPhone 11 is Stuck After Installing iOS 26 Beta

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some assistance after upgrading my iPhone 11 to the iOS 26 beta. Since the update, my phone is pretty much unusable—it's stuck at 1% charge and, while it does charge, it doesn't seem to actually gain any battery life. I suspect this might be due to a cheaper battery replacement I had done a few months back, which didn't involve resoldering the battery controller or anything like that. My battery health shows up as 0%, and it feels like my phone can't recognize the new battery properly. I've read some stuff about downgrading to a previous iOS version, but I'm worried it might lead to data loss. I attempted to downgrade back to iOS 18 via iTunes but ran into error 68. If anyone has any suggestions, especially on how I might back up my photos to my laptop, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

As for downgrading, errors can happen if it's not done correctly. Have you tried putting your phone in DFU mode during the restore process? It could help clear that error 68 you encountered.

I haven’t tried that yet! I’ll definitely look into DFU mode and see if that helps with the downgrade.

Wow, it sounds like you really hit a snag there! Ideally, you should have backed up your data before installing any beta. But now that you're in this mess, you might try using software like iMazing or AnyTrans. They can sometimes help pull your photos off your phone even when it's acting up. Just check that you don’t mess with other features which might cause more issues.

Yeah, I agree! Software like that can be a lifesaver. Just remember that anything involving the beta could be risky, so proceed with caution!

It's likely that the battery replacement is the real culprit here. If it's reading 0% health, the phone might not function properly. Have you thought about replacing the battery again with a reputable service? Your iPhone might return to normal functioning after that.
