Why Won’t My Laptop Boot After Cloning to a New SSD?

Hey everyone, I'm having a problem with my Asus K571GT laptop. I initially had a 256GB SSD which I cloned to a new 2TB SSD using Macrium Reflect. After cloning, I switched the drives, but now my laptop is stuck at the ASUS loading screen with no cursor or any signs of booting. I was able to revert to my old SSD and it works fine. I even ran CHKDSK on the C drive before cloning, but I'm still stuck. Can anyone help me figure out what went wrong and how to fix this?

Are you sure you actually cloned the SSD and not just created an image? After cloning, you need to set the new drive's partition as 'Active'. If you forget to do this, your laptop won’t boot from it.

I followed a tutorial and selected "clone this disk" specifically, which should have worked. The video didn’t mention anything about setting partitions.

You might want to try running a bit-by-bit clone instead of a standard one and ensure that the auto-adjusting size option is enabled. If it still doesn't work after this, consider creating a new boot partition. As a last resort, reinstalling Windows via USB could help too.

Is that a specific setting in Macrium? Where can I find it? Also, should I format the new SSD before cloning or just choose to overwrite during the process?
