A few days back, I updated my Windows 11 while I slept and the next morning, my PC was dreadfully slow. I figured it was just adjusting to the update, but the slowness only worsened. I tried rolling back the update, but that led to more freezing issues and long load times. After struggling to reinstall the updates and failing, I did a clean install that helped a bit, but it's still not back to normal. I came home to a grey screen, but resetting the BIOS improved things. Now, while my PC feels somewhat better, I'm still facing slow processes, Discord crashes, and sluggish response times from basic Windows functions. I've updated all drivers and scanned for malware, but nothing major turned up. I ran CHKDSK and it said all my drives are okay. Can anyone help me understand what's going wrong or suggest ways to diagnose it? Here's my [Speccy info](http://speccy.piriform.com/results/wpj5jjXpNuKM3hHZVEyOK3T) if that's useful.

It sounds like you've been through quite the ordeal! One possibility could be related to a firmware update that causes voltage spikes in your CPU, leading to performance issues. I've seen this happen especially with certain Intel processors, but there have been reports of similar issues with AMD ones too. Can you confirm your CPU model? Speccy sometimes misreports them. You can usually find it under Settings > System > About. If you have an AMD CPU, there's a chance they might release a fix for any firmware bugs too. Keep me updated!
For sure!! My CPU is actually an AMD Ryzen 5 7500F 6-core. I'm not sure why Speccy missed that. A firmware error was one of my suspects, but I just couldn't pinpoint it!
