Hey everyone! I just picked up a Suprim 5090 SOC and I'm super excited about it! I have a bit of a controversial plan though: I want to undervolt the system and stick with 1080p. I know this might not be a popular choice, so I'd appreciate some respectful feedback if you decide to respond. My main concern is whether I still need to worry about melting cables with this setup, considering the power draw is lower. If that's a concern, would buying a thermal camera be a good idea to keep an eye on temperatures? If so, which brands are worth checking out? Thanks in advance!

Honestly, just enjoy your setup! If something's going to happen, it'll happen anyway, so stressing over it won't help much.
If you're really worried, a thermal camera could provide peace of mind. Something like a FLIR E96 is great, but it's super expensive at $14,000! Maybe look for something more budget-friendly around $100 if you can find it.
Honestly, for what you're using it for, a thermal camera sounds like overkill. Just chill out and enjoy your gaming.
Melting cables usually only happen with cheaper cables. As long as you stick to quality ones, you should be fine. Just avoid using those cheap extensions or adapters!
I do use one, and my thermal camera shows hot readings around the connector (about 60°C), but it's only warm to the touch. Maybe the camera's sensing the surrounding components. Just don’t stress too much, but if it gives you peace of mind, go for it!
