Hey everyone! I need some help here. I have an 8-month-old gaming PC that just turned off while I was playing and watching videos. There were no warning signs like a BSOD, sparks, or even a power outage in my apartment. Now, it won't turn back on at all—pressing the power button does nothing, but the RAM RGB is still lighting up.
I've tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps like clearing the CMOS, trying to boot without the CMOS battery, and starting with just the CPU and one stick of RAM. I've also reseated all the PSU cables and tried to power the PSU with a paperclip, but there's no fan movement. I'm leaning towards a PSU issue (I'm using a Corsair RM1000X), but I'd love to hear your thoughts! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure to replug the PSU ATX power connectors. Sometimes they aren’t seated properly, and you need to hear that click when you push them in.
It sounds to me like your power supply might be dead. That’s usually the culprit for those sudden shut downs without any signal before it goes.
I thought it might be the motherboard too since a friend had a similar issue. But hers still had lights on the mobo, and yours doesn’t, right?
This kind of issue can happen if one of your drives fails; it’s rare, but it has happened to me before. Though, if you're not running RAID, it shouldn't stop the entire system from booting.
I’m not using RAID, so that’s not it. But could a bad drive really cause a no-boot situation?
You should consider checking the motherboard closely. Had a similar experience last year when my motherboard failed while I was launching a game—a capacitor blew near the PCI-e slots.
Got it! I’ll look for any signs like burnt or discolored capacitors.
I’ve tried replugging every cable in multiple setups but still no response 🙁
