So my older brother handed me his 3090 GPU since he decided to upgrade to a 5090. I'm not super savvy with computers, but I've heard that if you pair a high-end graphics card like the 3090 with a lower-end CPU, like my Ryzen 3600, it could limit the GPU's performance. Should I be concerned about this? Should I look into getting a new CPU, or can I just stick with what I have for now? By the way, I'm using a 1080p monitor.

You definitely want to check if your PSU can handle the 3090. It can run on 1080p fine, but if you ever decide to go for higher resolutions, you'll need to keep an eye on potential bottlenecks. Consider getting a new CPU like the Ryzen 5700X3D, but also make sure to have a good power supply; I'd recommend at least an 850W. If you think you'll be gaming at 1440p too, that CPU upgrade will help a lot!
Your performance might drop a bit with that combo, but it depends on your gaming needs. If you're really into the visual quality and performance, getting a CPU upgrade is definitely worth it. Running a 1440p monitor with a 5600 and a higher refresh rate would let you see what that 3090 can do!
Will this ensure I'm maximizing the graphics card's potential, especially in terms of visual quality?
Do you think an 850W PSU would be enough, or should I just go for a 1000W to be safe?
