Hey everyone! I accidentally installed Fedora on my HDD instead of my NVMe drive. My PC is super slow now, and I'm not sure if I should just reinstall it on the NVMe or try cloning the installation. I really don't want to start over since I've spent a lot of time setting things up, like customizing the desktop and installing software like DaVinci Resolve. I've heard about cloning, but I'm worried it's risky since I've never done this before. What do you all think? Is it better to reinstall or try to clone the operating system?

If you're feeling adventurous, cloning could work too! You'd need a live USB and a tool like 'dd' to do it, but be careful if your NVMe drive is smaller — you’d have to resize your partitions first. Just remember to adjust your BIOS settings after cloning. It's a bit of work, though, so weigh your options!
Honestly, I'd just go for the reinstall. Yeah, it might be a bit annoying, but since you've done it before, it should go faster this time. Plus, it'll give you a chance to set everything up just how you like it without any extra hassle.
Reinstalling is the safer option here. Cloning can get complicated because the boot process relies on unique IDs from the drives, and you might end up with boot issues. Plus, installing on the NVMe means you'll have a way faster setup anyway!
Yeah, if you clone, make sure to double-check the sizes of your partitions. You really don't want to run into issues later on!
