Hey everyone! I'm looking to build a gaming PC and I've picked out these parts:
- PowerColor Radeon RX 9060 XT Reaper 16GB
- Asus TUF GAMING B650-E WIFI
- Ryzen 5 9600X
- Kingston 32GB (2 x 16GB) Fury Beast DDR5, 6000MHz, CL36, 1.35V
- Western Digital 2TB WD_BLACK SN7100 NVMe SSD - M.2 2280, PCIe 4.0 x4, with read/write speeds of 7250/6900 MB/s
- Seasonic 750W CORE GX-750 ATX 3
- Noctua NH-U12S redux cooler
- Kolink Castle case
I currently game at 1080p but I'm considering upgrading to 1440p in the future. I want this PC to last about 5-6 years before I need a new one. Do you think these parts will be good enough? Also, I saw that if I go with the CPU, motherboard, and RAM as a package, I can save about 70 euros, but if I choose the CL30 RAM, I'd lose that deal and it would cost me about 90 euros extra. Is it worth spending more for the lower latency RAM?

Your build looks solid! Just make sure you’re getting the 16GB version of the 9060 XT. It's definitely worth the investment. As for longevity, it should last you a good while, especially if you’re not going to crank up the settings too much when you switch to 1440p. Also, keep an eye on your RAM latency; CL30 is a bit better performance-wise, but CL36 isn't bad if it saves you money. Overall, great choices!
Looks like a great build, but I have two suggestions:
1. That RAM is decent, but if you can, go for CL30 or CL32 for better performance. It's usually not a huge price jump.
2. About that case, think about getting one with a mesh front panel for better airflow. Cooling is important! Kolink has some good mesh options that might fit your budget.
Thanks for the input! I hadn’t really thought about the airflow with the case, that’s a good point!
Yeah, good airflow can really make a difference in keeping the components cool while gaming.
