Hey folks! I'm new here and looking for some advice. I'm 30 years old and currently unemployed, but I decided to learn some new skills by taking the Certified Full Stack Developer course from FreeCodeCamp. I'm enjoying the material, but I'm curious about how to turn these skills into job opportunities. I don't need to land anything too high-paying, but I'd really like to find a position that leverages what I'm learning. What kinds of jobs should I be looking for? Any suggestions on projects I can build to showcase my skills? And where's the best place to show off my work?

Do you have any degrees? Without one, it can be pretty tough to find a development job these days, even with FreeCodeCamp under your belt. You might need to have some insider help or be exceptionally skilled to get in the door.
It might be a challenge to find a job right away, especially since entry-level positions are getting harder to come by with the rise of AI. But if you enjoy coding and problem-solving, stick with it! Soft skills will definitely give you an edge in landing something later on.
You can definitely land a job, even if you're starting from scratch, as long as you find the right opportunity and present yourself well! But it might depend on how you approach the job market.
I had a similar experience! I got hired for an IT internship after connecting well during the interview, even though I couldn't answer some basic questions at the time. Soft skills matter!
Haha, true! But I'd just caution not to get in over your head—make sure you know at least a little bit before applying.
