I've recently upgraded my PC after nearly five years. I had an RTX 2060 which was running quite hot at 80-90°C, so I replaced it with a 4060 8GB OC edition. I made sure to clean my PC thoroughly, replace the thermal paste, and update all my drivers. Now, while my CPU (AMD Ryzen 3700X) stays cool at a max of 62°C and under 40% usage, I'm puzzled because my new GPU is only reaching about 25% usage while gaming. I'm playing Schedule 1 capped at 120fps but only getting 60fps with occasional drops to 40fps. What could be causing my GPU to underperform like this?

It's likely that Schedule 1 isn't a demanding enough game to push your GPU to its limits. Try running a more graphically intense title to see if that changes how much of your GPU gets utilized.
It might be that your CPU is bottlenecking the performance. Since you're on an AM4 socket, you could consider upgrading to a Ryzen 5600X or a 5700X3D to eliminate the bottleneck issue, which could let your GPU perform better.
I'm seeing only 34% CPU usage as is, so I'm not sure that's the problem. I’m open to upgrading if needed, but I want to be sure.
Also, what resolution are you gaming at? That can significantly affect GPU usage.
I'm gaming at 3440 x 1440.
Yeah, but even with the FPS cap at 120, I'm stuck at 60fps, and GPU usage isn’t breaking 35%. It feels like something else is going on.
