My MacBook Won’t Load Anything – Is It a Virus?

I was using my MacBook just fine yesterday, but when I returned in the evening, it wouldn't load anything that needs the internet. It shows that I'm connected to Wi-Fi with full signal, but Chrome, Safari, and even my games just won't work. Chrome doesn't even show the 'no internet' page; it just keeps trying to load with a blank screen. Could this be a virus? If so, how can I fix it without internet access?

Try booting your Mac into safe mode and then restarting it normally. I had the same problem before—it was caused by a memory leak. Safe mode usually clears that issue out!

What option should I select after I boot it into safe mode?

You might not have a virus. It's worth restarting both your router and your MacBook. This often fixes connection issues.
